Some problems to deal with during teaching

Every teacher has to deal with different problems in the classroom. I would name these problems “Classroom challenges”. Every teacher should have the courage to overcome all these challenges in the best way.

Below I will mention and explain some of these challenges faced by the teachers nowadays.

1.       Lack of time for planning

Teachers nowadays have to handle multiple roles in the classroom. They have to update the subject to new demands, to correct materials, to manage fields trips as well as bringing in new create approaches to meet the present educational trends.  All these things mentioned above add a lot of pressure and the lack of time doubles it.

2.       Balancing diverse learning needs

In every classroom the type of students will be different and they will have diverse learning needs. It is a serious challenge to satisfy all of them in the same way while approaching a particular curriculum.

H         Handle too many masters

They are unfortunately in the middle of many masters such as, students, school managers and parents. A teacher has to satisfy and deal with all of them.

4.       Limitations of standardized testing

Not every student in a class learns a subject in the same way and similar is the case with the way you evaluate them. Teachers would be eager to come up with creative ways of assessing their students and these approaches may be initiated after studying their learning styles.

5.       Lack of parental support

Even when it is the role of teacher to provide students with quality education, the process is only complete with the cooperation and understanding of parents and school management. Parents should be the ideal working partners of teachers to provide the best learning experience for students. If parents are stepping away from their responsibility, it can be tough for teachers to handle at least a few of the students.

To sum up, there is one more challenge I would like to mention and the most important one of course, dealing with a silent class, a class that does not respond to your questions or explanations. This one is a very bad thing for all the teachers. During this pandemic, in online teaching and learning most of the teachers have had to deal with their silent classes. Personally, as a teacher to be, sometimes I get afraid about the management of the classroom. I ask myself if I can do my best and if I will be a good teacher, because teaching is a hard job and we have to do many things in the same time.
